Job Description
Lakeview Village will transform 177 acres of former industrial lands into a vibrant waterfront Lakeview Village will transform 177 acres of former industrial lands into a vibrant waterfront destination that will serve as a global model for sustainable mixed-use development. This new 177-acre community will feature a range of housing options, education and office space, an Innovation District, multicultural and year-round recreational programming, an extensive parks system including access to the nearby 64-acre Jim Tovey Conservation Area, and a network of trails, pathways and direct access to local transit.
We are seeking a Community Experience Ambassador to greet all guests to the Lakeview Village Discovery Centre and manage the day-to-day operation of the building including supporting our builder partners whose sales centres will be housed inside.
This Ambassador will be responsible for being on-site Friday, Saturday and Sunday, ensuring that everything that happens in and around the centre supports our vision of making Lakeview Canada’s most transformative mixed-use waterfront community.
Highlights of the Role:
General Greeting, Hosting & Property Management:
Become an expert on all things Lakeview
Greet all guests & visitors to the LV Discovery Centre, giving tours of the centre as required
Register walk-in's and/or direct them to the appropriate builder sales office within the builder hall
Liaise, coordinate and communicate all maintenance requirements, supply shortages for the centre to the Community Experience Manager daily and with the Development Team on a case-by-case basis
Event Calendar & Bookings:
Be aware of all bookings for the centre including meeting rooms, tours, etc.
Coordinate meeting space on behalf of our builder partners as required
Be a day of coordinator for event arrangements, assisting outside vendor activity as necessary including vendor briefing, load-in & load-out protocols
Audio/Visual:
Working knowledge of key AV points within the building
Troubleshoot & resolve AV/tech issues with screens, internet, etc.
Manage digital screen activity, music playlists, etc.
The successful candidate will embody the following:
Passion for customer service with at least 3 years’ experience in a customer-facing role
Willingness to learn and educate others on the Lakeview Village development as it evolves
Available to work beyond 9am-5pm on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Strong technical skills including social/digital/AV
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities professionally and cheerfully
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 24 per week
