Education Coordinator - Hospice Palliative Care Service 0.6FTE Te Mahi/About the Position The Nurse Maude Hospice Palliative Care Service provides specialised care and support for patients who have a life limiting illness using a multidisciplinary approach. Care is centred on the needs of patients and their families/whānau and embraces the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual elements of wellbeing - tinana, whanau, hinengaro and wairua – and aims to enhance quality of life. The Education Coordinator role purpose is to facilitate and further develop a Carers Education Programme, the Korowai Programme. In addition to this, the successful applicant will work closely with the Clinical Nurse Educator in assisting with the provision of formal education opportunities and professional development across the service, including supporting staff with PDRP and SFYP programmes. You will need the ability to build strong relationships with whānau and members of the multi-disciplinary team. He momo/About you We are looking for an experienced nurse with demonstrated knowledge of education provision and experience within palliative care. Project management skills are desirable.
