Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Counter Attendant to join our team in providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking orders, handling food and payments, and ensuring a clean and welcoming atmosphere for all guests. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the food industry while developing key skills such as food preparation, cashiering, and customer service.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems,
Prepare simple food items as needed, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
Handle cash transactions, process payments efficiently, and give correct change using basic math skills.
Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, dining space, and food prep stations in compliance with sanitation regulations.
Assist with food handling tasks, including serving orders promptly and managing food safety protocols.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues professionally.
Experience

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS is a plus.
Experience with cashiering, food handling, and basic math will be advantageous.
Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper serving techniques is desirable.
Prior kitchen or restaurant experience will help in understanding the flow of food service operations.
Strong time management skills are essential to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. This position offers an engaging work environment where you can develop valuable skills in the food industry while providing outstanding service to guests.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 44 per week
