Job Title: TELECOMMUNICATION TECHNICIAN

Morjaria NZ Limited are looking for Full-time Telecommunication Technicians within Auckland. You will be required to work between 30 hours – 40 hours from 8 am to 6 pm (Monday - Friday) however they also work sometime on Saturday as well (depends on workload); they need someone who is willing to commit to our company and is prepared to take the responsibility and run with it.

Job Duties:

Install maintains and repairs telecommunication equipment’s and appliances such as data transmission equipment’s in houses businesses telephone exchange and other network sites.
Fibre optic stripping cleaving and splicing.
Scoping and determined the most cost-effective route to connect a custom.
Knowledge of structured cabling will be an added advantage.
Ability to communicate effectively to different sections of the installation process that includes service providers and dispatch centre is a key requirement.
Take responsibilities for tools and plants and test equipment’s.
Tests and certifies fibre optic cables using specialized equipment (Splicer OTDR Testers and Fibre Tracers) Implementing networks and ensuring efficient use of application and equipment.
Monitor data network perform troubleshoot on same and repair and replace Fibre CAT5 andCAT6 cables.
Terminates fibre optic cables including patch indoor and outdoor cables. Connects fibre optic cables to networking outlets and between networks outlets.
Run fibre optic cables underground and perform premises internal cabling. Install troubleshoot and maintain fibre optic systems.
You will be looking after our customer's installations and services.
Fibre cabling and Fusion splicing in commercial and domestic properties
Plan design and troubleshoot local and wide area network infrastructure including Wireless Routers Switches and Landline telephones.
Integrating and Configuring Telecommunication Devices and tools.
Providing ongoing operational supports for designing troubleshooting optimizing telecommunication network performance at all terminals including FAT Network Cabinet and Customers’ end.
Coordinate with customers and arrange for the installation of the services. Managing resources and completing tasks in the allocated time frames Programming optical network terminal (ONT) Implement health and safety requirements by using appropriate gear and personal protective equipment Core Requirements
Core Requirements

To be successful you must have at least a diploma qualification in Telecommunications OR relevant work experience of at least 2 years in a similar workplace.
Good at identifying problems and troubleshooting hardware issues.
Able to work independently and compatibility to work on weekends.
Clean Character background Zero tolerance of alcohol and drugs in the workplace
