Job Description
Position: Auto Mechanic
Location: Edmonton
Kristian Electric is looking for an Auto Mechanic to fill an opening at our Edmonton branch. As a Auto Mechanic you will be responsible for servicing engines. This role is open to experienced Mechanics with an electrical background/experience as an asset. The successful candidate will be:
Reliable, organized, with the ability to maintain and service equipment in a timely and efficient manner
An exceptional customer relationship builder
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Safety focused
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and recommend maintenance for welders
Follow product manuals and service requests diligently
Working with others to inspect, diagnose, and repair welders
Complying with safety requirements
Educational Requirements:
Certified Journeyman Mechanic, Apprentice, or an Engine Technician
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Experience and Skills Required:
Capable of working on gas drive and diesel engines.

Exceptional customer service experience – evaluate and inspect details to ensure customer satisfaction
Ability to function as part of a team and to request and accept direction as required
Provide exceptional and accurate diagnosis
Performing in a timely, effective, and high-quality manner
Ability to read part diagrams, make part recommendations, and repair work accordingly
Safety focused – ensure compliance to building standards, the safety of yourself and those around you, and the integrity of the company
Positive attitude towards learning, motivating, working on a team, and engaging with customers
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Clear communicator both written and verbally
Working Conditions:
Shop environment
Requires steel toed footwear
Eye protection is provided
