Job Description

We are a growing service-based business seeking an experienced and reliable finance professional to take ownership of day-to-day company bookkeeping and support financial reporting and controls as the business grows.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a structured environment, takes pride in accurate financial records, and is comfortable working closely with senior management.

You will play an important role in maintaining financial clarity across the business and supporting the wider accounts team during busy periods.

Key Responsibilities

Company Accounts

Maintain accurate bookkeeping records
Support monthly close and management accounts preparation
Assist with VAT preparation and submissions
Monitor cash flow and supplier payment schedules
Flag unusual spending or financial risks early
Operational Finance Support

Monitor maintenance job costs and supplier invoices
Support cost control and margin visibility
Assist with supplier payment planning
Service Charge Accounts Team Support

Assist with invoice processing and contractor payment cycles, usually twice a month.
Support credit control activity through a structured system and scheduled dates.
Assist with bank reconciliations.
Support year-end preparation.
Systems & Process Support

Help maintain organised and accurate financial data.
Support improvements to finance processes where needed.
About You

Previous experience in bookkeeping or company accounts.
Previous experience in property management accounts is an advantage.
Comfortable working independently and managing priorities
Strong attention to detail
Good working knowledge of accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar)
Comfortable working in a small business environment

Pay: £35,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
