Flavor Laboratory Technologist, Oceania

This role supports flavor compounding and application projects, creating flavor samples and applications across food matrices. It involves managing lab operations, raw materials and supporting Flavorists in evaluating new ingredients and technologies. As a Lab Technologist, you will ensure efficient project workflows, maintain procedures and facilitate coordination with internal and external stakeholders.


The Position:

Compounding & Application

Prepare flavor compounds for creative projects, portfolio stock and customer samples, supporting both lab and production trials
Develop applications incorporating Symrise technologies across various food matrices including but not limited to culinary and snacks
Organize and maintain compounding lab areas to ensure a clean, safe and efficient workspace
Manage raw material stocks, ensuring quality, proper storage and adherence to expiration dates
Support Sampling Team and Flavorists with shipments and other internal and external business activities including coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Assist Flavorists in assessing new and alternative raw materials and evaluating new flavor technologies
Demonstrate proficiency in all equipment and methods used in flavor compounding and functionality including filter presses, homogenizers and Brookfield powder flow tester
Maintain existing procedures in IMS and draft new procedures as required
Organize efficient project workflows through effective utilization of C4C.

The Ideal Candidate:
Degree in Science, preferably in Food Technology or related field.
1 year of experience in a laboratory is an added advantage.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
An eager learner with a growth mindset
Proactive, meticulous with strong attention to detail
Demonstrates strong ownership and accountability for tasks and outcomes.
