Laboratory Technician - Chemistry

We are looking for a technically oriented person with great attention to detail and at least 1 year of experience working in a laboratory setting.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Weighing and preparation of samples
Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment and instrumentation in accordance with ISO 17025
Contribution to the laboratory quality control and quality assurance systems
Reporting stock levels of consumables, standards, and chemicals
Maintaining laboratory cleanliness, organisation, and good housekeeping practices
Recording results in LIMS and/or laboratory worksheets
Identifying and reporting non-conformances or equipment issues
Supporting senior analysts as required
Skills and experience required:

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail with clear and accurate record keeping
Ability to reason and interpret laboratory data
Intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
