Chemistry Laboratory Technician

An established beverage manufacturing company in Penrith NSW 2750 is looking for an experienced Chemistry/Laboratory Technician.

Candidate must have completed at least a Bachelor degree (preferably relating to food), must have a minimum of 2 years hands on experience in food and beverage manufacturing facility or more specifically, a bottled water manufacturing facility. Candidate must have at least functional English communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Collection and preparation of samples for Physico-Chemical and Microbial analysis

· Conducting process and laboratory experiments, tests and analyses

· Maintain laboratory records and present results in graphic and written form by preparing charts, diagrams and reports

· Monitoring and inventory of laboratory supplies by keeping records and accounting usage

· Checking, calibrating and maintaining test equipment

· Conducting validation activities in installation and modification of equipment and processes to ensure that critical standards are met

· Performing routine mathematical calculations, and computations of measurements

· Preparing experiments and demonstrations for new projects

Salary: $80,000 + superannuation.

A candidate who has technical competency in bottled water manufacturing, from receival, through raw material storage, manufacture, filling, labelling, product storage and dispatch is highly regarded.

Willing to work full time and able to work on night shifts, if necessary.
