About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Generator Site Lead to take primary responsibility for overseeing generator installation and service works on site. This is a leadership-focused role suited to someone confident in running jobs, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring work is delivered safely and to specification.
While this role is primarily leadership-focused, the successful candidate must be willing to step in and perform hands-on mechanical or servicing work when required, particularly on smaller jobs or during busy periods.
Key Responsibilities
Lead generator installation projects on site from delivery through to completion
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and site labour
Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification
Liaise with engineers, project managers, and clients as required
Oversee mechanical installation works, including generator placement, fuel, exhaust, and cooling systems
Support generator servicing and maintenance activities when needed
Assist during commissioning alongside electrical technicians
Prepare and review installation reports, service documentation, commissioning records, and site progress updates
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Experienced in generator or heavy mechanical installations
Proven experience leading or supervising site teams or subcontractors
Strong understanding of mechanical installation practices
Ability to step in and work hands-on when required
Comfortable using computers/tablets for job reporting and documentation
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Willing to travel to project sites across NSW, ACT, VIC, and QLD
White Card
Current driver’s licence
Desirable:
Experience working around electrical trades during generator commissioning
Working at Heights, Forklift, EWP, or dogging/rigging tickets
Experience on construction or infrastructure project sites
Salary
Salary will be discussed further and determined based on the suitability and experience of the successful candidate.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
