The Opportunity

Ready for your next move? We’re hiring Trainee & Experienced Soil and Concrete Aggregate Testing Technicians across Auckland and the Bay of Plenty.

No experience? No problem — we’ll train you.

You’ll work across active construction sites and in our Auckland laboratory, testing soil, Aggregate and concrete, operating specialised equipment, and supporting major civil and infrastructure projects across Auckland.

This is a hands-on, physical role suited to someone who enjoys being outdoors, working with their hands, and building a long-term career. The role includes regular lifting (15–20kg) and early starts.

What You’ll Be Doing
Carry out routine field and lab testing soil and concrete aggregate samples using industry equipment
Recording results and entering data accurately
Working with specialist equipment such as Nuclear Densometers, compaction equipment and much more
Carrying out manual tasks, including lifting up to 20kg
Setting up, maintaining, and calibration of laboratory equipment
Supporting project deadlines and communicating with clients
Helping with the receiving, logging, storing, and disposal of samples
You will ideally bring the following
A team player that is reliable with initiative, enthusiasm, and flexibility
Good communication skills and able to follow instructions
Construction Card (Site Safe Passport)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Basic mathematical skills
Drivers Licence
Safety focused
Physically fit ( be able to lift 15-20kg)
NZ citizen or resident
Likes working outdoors
