Job description

What you’ll do

Provide structural engineering input from concept through to construction for new builds, refurbishments and strengthening projects.
Engage with clients, architects, and contractors; working collaboratively and communicating effectively.
Complete site measures and site investigations.
Respond to RFIs and undertake construction monitoring inspections.
Contribute to continuous improvement of our tools, templates, and standard details.

Candidate profile

What you’ll bring

Minimum 5 years’ NZ consulting experience delivering building structures across commercial, residential, education, health or industrial sectors.
Strong working knowledge of the NZ Building Code and relevant standards and design guides (in particular NZS 3604, SCNZ structural steel, NZS 3101 concrete).
Proficiency with Revit draughting software and coordination in BIM environments.
Clear, confident communication and a collaborative, “dive in” work ethic.

Nice to have

NZ Diploma in Engineering (Civil), or equivalent qualification.
Experience in detailing structure for residential projects.
Experience in civil engineering projects (drainage, earthworks, retaining structures)
Familiarity with NZS 3910 contract administration
