Teacher Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Jewish private elementary school (Tamim Academy of Miami). The ideal candidate will have experience working with lower elementary aged children and provide exceptional support to our lead teachers. Duties

- Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing engaging lesson plans for our grade 1 or grade 2 class.
- Provide individualized support to students, focusing on their unique needs and abilities.
- Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages learning and creativity.
- Help with classroom management, ensuring that all activities run smoothly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with teachers to prepare and present lessons, incorporating various teaching strategies and techniques.
- Support students in their learning of math concepts and skills.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in early elemnatry education.

Qualifications

- Experience working with children in a kindergarten, grade 1 or grade 2 setting.
- Experience with classroom management and curriculum development.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to lifelong learning.
- Experience working in a private school or similar setting.
- A desire to work in a collaborative environment that values teamwork and mutual support.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
