Housekeeping Coordinator – Villa Maria, Fortitude Valley
Permanent Full Time | Monday–Friday | 7:00am–3:06pm
Pay rate – $36.50 per hour + superannuation
Not-for-profit employer, so pay less tax!
Join our dedicated team at Villa Maria and help create a clean, welcoming, and homely environment for our residents. As a Housekeeping Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring our laundry and cleaning services operate efficiently and consistently meet the highest standards.
About the Role
In this hands on coordination role, you will be responsible for organising, monitoring, and completing a range of housekeeping and laundry services across the Home. You will ensure all areas are maintained to an exceptional standard and that residents feel comfortable, safe, and truly at home.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily cleaning and laundry operations, ensuring timely and high quality service delivery.
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across resident rooms and common areas.
Build positive relationships with residents and families, responding to queries and requests with empathy and care.
Monitor stock levels and replenish supplies as required.
Develop and maintain cleaning and laundry schedules and protocols.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance, safety, and quality standards are met.
Maintain accurate documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Support team cooperation, provide buddy support to new starters, and foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
What You’ll Bring
Experience in cleaning, hospitality, customer service, or aged care environments (preferred).
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach.
Commitment to following safety, infection control, and organisational policies and procedures.
A genuine desire to enhance quality of life for older people.
