Our client, MGL ALL TYPES CONSTRUCTION PTY. LTD, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Carpenter to join their team.
About the Role
MGL All Types Construction is seeking an experienced Carpenter / Leading Hand to perform formwork carpentry across residential apartment, industrial, and civil construction projects in New South Wales. This role suits a skilled tradesperson with strong hands-on experience who can also lead and coordinate a small team on site. Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
The successful applicant will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Constructing, installing, and dismantling formwork for concrete structures
Reading and interpreting formwork and structural drawings
Setting out works, measuring, levelling, and ensuring accuracy
Supervising and guiding carpenters and labourers as a Leading Hand
Coordinating daily formwork activities to meet project schedules
Ensuring quality control and compliance with Australian Standards
Maintaining a safe work environment and enforcing WHS procedures
Using hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Liaising with site supervisors and other trades on site
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you must have:
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a Carpenter, with strong formwork experience
Trade qualification in Carpentry (Certificate III or equivalent)
Ability to lead a small team and take responsibility for allocated work areas
Strong understanding of formwork systems (traditional and/or proprietary systems)
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
White Card (Construction Induction Card) – mandatory
Driver’s licence (preferred)
