Description:
The Inside Sales Specialist will work from our Winnipeg office conveniently located at 756 Pembina Highway. Inside Sales Specialists are responsible for developing new prospects and interacting with existing Victoria Lifeline (VLL) customers to increase VLL’s sales and profitability. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the primary accountability of the position is to source and secure new sales opportunities through inbound call, lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails. This position will understand sales methodology to identify and understand the customer needs and be versed in communicating the benefits of VLL products to successfully close sales. This position is full time role, indefinite term position, working Monday to Friday 8:45-5 but may including Saturdays.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Generates revenue by researching, identifying and soliciting potential accounts, building rapport, understanding and interpreting client requirements, providing technical information, and obtaining order.
Closes new account prospects by answering telephone, fax, in office traffic, e-mail, and online inquiries and verifying and entering information.
Schedules orders, transfers order to fulfilment, communicates expected delivery dates.
Develops accounts by checking customer’s buying history, suggesting related and new items, and explaining technical features.
Completes the client sales process from start to finish, including retention, client service issues and or billing processing, file management and auditing.
Maintains knowledgeable of VLL’s product offerings to assist in equipment troubleshooting, and the reporting and tracking of problems.
Maintains and improves quality results by following standards and recommending improved policies and procedures.
Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities.
Accomplishes departmental and organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
Explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Tracks and achieves sales targets, eligible to participate in bonus plan
Education & Experience:
Community college degree with a concentration in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or business administration.
3 to 5 years of industry sales experience preferred.
Familiarity with office software and phone systems.
Knowledge & Skills:
Proven track record of successful sales experience.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and forge client relationships.
Empathic and caring with customers.
Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with demonstrated strengths in active listening and persuasion.
Attention to detail, accuracy and time management.
Good computer skills with demonstrated ease in using various computer systems and software with experience in CRM.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines effectively.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Self-motivated with a natural inclination to take initiative.
Ability to handle rejection and maintain a positive outlook.
Is goal oriented.
Must be flexible and adaptable to work varying shifts.
Knowledge of Lifeline services would be an asset.
This is a unionized role.
