Job Description

Wallace & Wallace is Manitoba’s leading fence, door and perimeter security builder and is looking for a full time Inside Sales & Order Desk Representative to join our growing team.

We are looking for a driven employee who thrives in a fast-paced work environment. At Wallace, we wouldn't be able to achieve our high standard of customer service without honest, highly motivated team players. We are looking for someone who is friendly, organized, energetic, and confident in maintaining daily processes and internal/external requests in our gate and door business.

Day to day responsibilities

Respond to customer inquiries via phone, web requests and walk in traffic.
Prepare documents for Scheduling and Shipping departments.
Prepare, deliver, and convert sales quotes to sales orders.
Support the sales activities of other team members as required.
Assume basic admin responsibilities such as directing phone traffic, doing data entry and facilitating customer payment.
Fulfil customer orders including sourcing various materials as required, and setting/negotiating final pricing for customers.
Building and fostering strong customer relationships, with a clear strategy to grow the business.
Proactively engage in sales activities to initiate new orders, cross-sell across our full product offering and track and report against sales targets.
Support members of the Sales Team and Management by responding to customer inquiries promptly and accuracy.
Process vendor and customer purchase and sales accurately and proficiently.
Work collaboratively with the Freight Coordinator to book and manage supply chain logistics.
Coordinate with the warehouse regarding all storage, cutting, and handling instructions.
Build and maintain positive relationships with all colleagues, suppliers, and vendors.
Other duties as required.
Skill Set

Requires exceptional customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to organize.
Ability to learn quickly and become knowledgeable about a wide range of products and their applications.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task under pressure, while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Excellent problem solving and customer service skills
Professional phone etiquette
Adaptable to various situations with the ability to work well under pressure and in high stress situations
Ability to meet deadlines
