Elementary School Teacher Assistant & Specials Teacher

This position consists of a combination of teacher assistant & specials teacher duties.

Elementary School Teacher Assistant Duties:

The Elementary School Teacher Assistant supports the lead teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and productive learning environment for students. Responsibilities include:

Assisting with lesson preparation, supervising classroom activities.
Providing one-on-one or small group support to students, and helping manage classroom behavior.
Supports administrative tasks such as grading, organizing materials, and maintaining a clean classroom.
Strong communication, patience, and a passion for working with children are essential. Prior experience in an educational setting or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with elementary school students in an educational setting
- Some experience in lesson planning, curriculum development, and assessment

Specials Teacher Duties:

We are looking for a creative, energetic, and versatile Elementary Specials Teacher to join our team. Unlike a traditional classroom teacher, you will be the "change of pace" in a student's day—leading them through specialized instruction in [Art / Music / PE.] Responsibilities include:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons to students in Grades K–5 that align with the specific "specials"
Efficiently manage a high-volume schedule, transitioning different grade levels daily.
Work alongside classroom teachers to integrate core subjects (like Math or Literacy) into your "Specials" curriculum where possible.
Work with other staff to lead school-wide events related to your specialty, such as art shows, musical performances, or field days.
Strong communication, patience, and a passion for working with children are essential. Prior experience in an educational setting or a related field is preferred.
