Position Title: Consumer Faculty Volunteer

Department: Clinical Governance

Reporting To: Clinical Governance Manager

1. POSITION SUMMARY


Consumer Faculty Volunteers at Wyvern Private Hospital play a crucial role in supporting
our Clinical Governance team. As dedicated volunteers, they provide valuable feedback,
insight, and perspective from the patient’s point of view. In line with our commitment to
delivering care without compromise, volunteers ensure that our patient care and services
remain aligned with the needs and expectations of the community. The time commitment is
entirely up to each volunteer - they may prefer to provide support from home by reviewing
documents and content or join us in person for an improvement project or committee. We
welcome Consumer Faculty Volunteers from all backgrounds, as each perspective
enriches our ability to deliver exceptional care.


2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


Advocate for patients’ rights and needs, ensuring that the hospital's policies and practices
reflect the interests of those we serve.
Provide feedback on new and existing services, policies, and procedures. Your insights help us
identify areas for improvement, ensuring that patient care remains at the highest standard.
By participating in committees, working groups, and decision-making processes, you contribute
to the hospital’s continuous quality improvement initiatives, ensuring that patient care is
always evolving and improving.
Serve as a communication link between the hospital and the community, helping to ensure
transparency and fostering trust between healthcare providers and patients.
