Job Description

We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a casual Centralized Administration Lead to join our team!


Salary: $33.71 to $35.58 per hour (Grid 36, Health Sciences Association Community Bargaining Agreement)

Status: Casual

Hours of Work: Up to 36 hours per week, on an as and when needed basis. There are no guaranteed hours of work in this position, however, casual staff are required to provide availability such that they are able to work a minimum of 225 hours over any 12 month period in order to maintain employment status.

Location: The primary work location for this position will be a home office, however as a secondary work location, the successful candidate may be required to attend in person at one of our locations in Vancouver, Kamloops or Sechelt, depending on their place of residence.



Reporting to the Director of Business Enablement, the Centralized Administration Lead is responsible for overseeing the effective operation of the front-line administrative functions for Open Door Groups programs and services. This position performs a variety of administrative support functions such as assisting with the preparation of budgets, monitoring expenditures, and analyzing trends to identify opportunities that optimize resource use and continually improve the provision of administrative services.

This position also provides operational leadership to the Client Service Administrator team and acts as a role model for customer service, professional best practice, and adherence to organizational values.

What you bring to the position:

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in cooperation with others
A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negation, problem solving, conflict resolution, and people management skills
Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships
Demonstrated ability to communicate with tact and manage highly confidential information
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize
Ability to type at 60 wpm
Business writing skills
Ability to analyze and resolve problems
Ability to do financial calculations
Knowledge of general office procedures
Ability to evaluate and monitor administrative systems and procedures and proactively find solutions
Demonstrated experience using computer applications including Microsoft Office suite
Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor a team

Qualifications:

Diploma in Business Administration
Recent, related experience of three years, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Required to provide a satisfactory criminal record check, including a vulnerable sector check
