Job Description
Description:
Hydraulink is looking for an Installation Technician to join our Hamilton team. This is your chance to work on high-quality hydraulic systems, deliver professional installations, and be part of an industry leader known for getting the job done right — every time.
What You’ll Be Doing
This is a full-time, permanent role with a guaranteed 40 hours per week, and the opportunity to earn $40–$45/hour (depending on experience) plus the chance to boost your income through commission.
As an Installation Technician, you’ll:
Install, fabricate, and assemble hydraulic components
Deliver neat hose routing and professional pipework (bending, threading, cutting)
Maintain strict cleanliness and contamination control standards
Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, drawings, and technical manuals
Conduct inspections and pressure testing to ensure system integrity
Ensure all work meets safety and compliance requirements
What You’ll Need to Succeed
We’re after someone who’s just as comfortable with technical systems as they are with hands-on work.
You’ll bring:
A full, clean driver’s license
Strong mechanical and hydraulic installation skills
Excellent attention to detail, pride in workmanship, and a commitment to safety
Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
Physical fitness to handle the job’s demands
Bonus if you have:
Trade qualifications in mechanical, hydraulic, or automotive work
Experience with hydraulic hoses, fittings, or systems
Why Join Hydraulink?
Hydraulink is a leading, privately owned name in hydraulic solutions with 400+ service points across NZ, Australia, and the Pacific. Since 1945, we’ve built our reputation on fast, reliable service and top-quality products.
Join us and enjoy:

Fully stocked company work vehicle
Subsidised health insurance and gym membership
We’re hands-on, down-to-earth, and proud of the people who power our success. Real career growth, great support, and the chance to make a real impact await.
