Retail Sales Associate

Position Overview

The Retail Sales Associate drives revenue by delivering exceptional customer service and consistently upselling products. This role is ideal for someone who is confident, persuasive, and motivated by hitting sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

Engage every customer with a warm, professional greeting and identify their needs quickly
Recommend complementary products to increase basket size (e.g., matching sets, add‑on accessories, seasonal items)
Demonstrate product features and benefits to create desire and urgency
Maintain deep knowledge of all products, promotions, and new arrivals
Achieve daily and weekly sales targets, including upsell and add‑on goals
Create visually appealing product displays that encourage impulse purchases
Handle transactions accurately and efficiently
Build long-term customer relationships through personalized service
Keep the store clean, organized, and fully stocked
Required Skills & Qualities

Strong communication and persuasion skills
Confident in approaching customers and initiating conversations
Natural ability to recommend additional items without being pushy
Goal‑oriented and motivated by sales targets
Fast learner with strong product knowledge retention

Consistently meet or exceed upselling KPIs
Maintain high average transaction value (ATV)
Maintain high units per transaction (UPT)
Convert walk‑ins into buyers through strong product recommendations
