Casual - Customer Service All Rounder / Party Host

We are seeking a versatile and dynamic individual to join our team as a Café All Rounder/Party Host. This position primarily involves café operations, including serving customers, maintaining cleanliness in the café and common areas, as well as hosting birthday parties during weekends or as required. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, prior experience in customer service roles, and a proactive attitude towards delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Café Operations:

Greet and serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
Serve beverages and food items according to café standards.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all areas of the café, including dining areas, play areas and restrooms.
Ensure proper stocking and replenishment of inventory.
Party Hosting:

Coordinate and host birthday parties and special events.
Communicate effectively with party parents to understand their requirements and needs on the day.
Set up party decorations, tables, and seating arrangements in party rooms as per the party schedule.
Serve food and beverages for each party.
Clean up and reset the party area after events, ensuring readiness for the next booking.
Customer Service:

Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
Engage with customers to enhance their experience and foster positive relationships.
Anticipate customer needs and proactively offer assistance or recommendations.
Team Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth café operations and seamless transitions during shift changes.
Assist colleagues during peak hours or as needed to maintain optimal service levels.
Contribute ideas and suggestions for improving café processes and enhancing the customer experience.
Requirements:

Fluency in English (verbal and written).
Previous experience in customer service roles, preferably in a café or hospitality environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with diverse groups of customers.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work weekends as required for party hosting duties.
