In the moment, for the future

At Genesis, care shows up in so many ways. We’re a place where support runs deep, knowledge is shared freely, and people feel seen, heard, and valued. Whether you’re just starting out or bringing experience with you, you’ll find a team that lifts you up and helps you thrive. If you’re looking for a workplace where wellbeing, belonging and growth are part of the DNA, you’ve found it

What you’ll do

We are looking for an experienced Class 2 LPG Bobtail Driver/Filler to join our team based at Wiri. In this hands-on role, you’ll safely load and operate our bobtail trucks, complete bulk LPG deliveries to Genesis sites and customers, and when required support other depot operations including cylinder filling and general store work. You’ll also play an important part in representing Genesis out on the road—delivering a friendly, solutions-focused service to our customers and internal teams.

This role is Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays as required. Flexibility is expected at times to support operational needs, including occasional after-hours bulk deliveries.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

Load and unload bobtail trucks safely, following all Genesis procedures and standards
Fill LPG bobtail sites as instructed, safely and efficiently
Deliver bulk LPG to Genesis sites and customers in line with company guidelines and service expectations
Support the cylinder team with filling and deliveries when required.
Complete all delivery dockets and documentation accurately and on time
Carry out depot tasks such as inward goods, stocktaking, cylinder maintenance/filling, and general store work - remove
Keep your truck and equipment to a consistently high standard (weekly cleaning, checks, and ensuring servicing is completed)
Identify, report, and respond appropriately to hazards, near misses, spills, incidents, or emergencies

What you’ll bring

Clean full Class 2 driver’s licence
Dangerous Goods (DG) endorsement or willingness to complete training
Filler certificates for both over and under 110kg or willingness to complete training
3+ years’ experience operating heavy vehicles (essential)
Proven customer service experience and confidence engaging with a range of stakeholders
Comfortable using basic workplace technology (email, H&S monitoring apps, and standard systems)
A strong safety mindset with the discipline to follow procedures every time
A team-first attitude, reliability, and pride in doing the job properly
Ability to stay calm under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt when plans change
LPG or other fuel delivery experience is preferred (but not essential if you have transferable experience in high-compliance transport)

How we’ll help you thrive

At Genesis, we know that every moment matters – it’s not just about the mahi today, it’s also all the other benefits that set you up for a thriving future.

Some of our benefits include:

Southern Cross medical insurance, plus life, trauma and income protection insurances.
Electricity and gas discounts and an extra 20 Power Shout hours per year.
Up to 4% match on KiwiSaver contributions or 3% with our GenSaver allowance.
Paid training and ongoing development opportunities.
Flexible working options once established in the role.
Annual wellbeing allowance, Best Doctors access and a range of wellbeing initiatives.
We’re proud of our inclusive, supportive culture and committed to creating a workplace where everyone can be themselves and succeed.

We're proud of our strong culture, which makes Genesis a great place to work. Ensuring our people are safe at work and can be themselves is crucial; this is reflected in our focus on safety and wellbeing.
