Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
As the Work Integrated Learning Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating all WIL programmes across the faculty, ensuring smooth, sustainable, and high-quality placement experiences. In this pivotal role, you will:

Proactively engage with organisations to identify, develop, and secure suitable work-integrated learning placements for students.
Act as a key liaison between students, academic staff, and industry partners, coordinating meetings, providing guidance, and supporting shared understanding of expectations.
Assist organisations with project scoping to ensure alignment with course requirements and learning outcomes.
Oversee all placement processes, including documentation, health and safety requirements, agreements, and evaluation collection.
Maintain accurate records, databases, and reporting relating to placements, projects, and compliance requirements.
Contribute to marketing and promotion of WIL opportunities, including the creation of brochures and promotional materials in collaboration with UC’s marketing team.

Experience working in a career, employability, or Work Integrated Learning environments (with insight into how academic study connects to real-world employment across sectors), would be an advantage.
Proven experience promoting programmes or initiatives to diverse audiences, tailoring messaging to different sectors, disciplines, and stakeholders.
Experience developing, maintaining, and improving reporting and review systems to track programme activity, engagement, and outcomes.
Strong communication skills, including experience engaging and presenting to larger audiences.
Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills, with empathy for students and an ability to work across cultures.
Excellent organisational and time management capability.

You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team within the UC Business School, working closely with students, course coordinators and companies to provide advice and support on WIL.
