Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Social Workers to join our Kahu Taurima team, supporting Pacific families across Waitematā and Counties Manukau.

Based at our Henderson or Māngere office, this early intervention role focuses on working with pregnant Pacific women and parents of Pacific children under five, providing culturally appropriate social support and advocacy to ensure families are safe, well-informed, and connected throughout the journey from pregnancy through early childhood.

About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate, community-minded Registered Social Worker to join our Kahu Taurima team at The Fono in Henderson and Mangere. This role supports Pacific families in West Auckland (Waitemata) and South Auckland (Counties Manukau), working alongside parents and children from pregnancy to age five.

You will assess whānau needs, offer support, and connect families with the right services, like WINZ, Kāinga Ora, or mental health providers. You’ll also visit homes, support at appointments, and provide culturally respectful advice.

About You
A social work qualification and SWRB registration.
Experience working with Pacific families, early intervention and community work.
A clean police check and a full New Zealand Driver’s Licence.
Confident using Microsoft 365 and open to learning new systems.
Strong people skills and a heart for Pacific communities.
Fluency in a Pacific language is a bonus.
