Registered Nurse (Casual) - MHAIDS Operations Centre

Location: Porirua/Wellington Hospital/Lower Hutt Hospital
Contract: Casual - up to 40 hours per week

About the Role

The Mental Health, Addictions and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAIDS) has vacancies in our Casual Pool for Registered Nurses mainly based in inpatient units and community settings. The role is part of the MHAIDS Operations Centre, which covers the Wellington, Kapiti, Porirua and Hutt Valley areas. MECA Step 1-8 or $75,773 - $106,739

About you

Registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ) and a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
Post registration education/learning and at least two years' experience relevant to the speciality area of mental health and/or intellectual disability/learning disability
Demonstrate an ability to work with a team with a multi-disciplinary approach
Commitment to ongoing professional development and active involvement along the PDRP
Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to equitable health outcomes for Māori
Demonstrates cultural competency and commitment to working in partnership with Māori and Pacific communities
Have excellent time management, communication, written, verbal and IT skills
Hold a current work visa or have the legal right to work in New Zealand
Full Drivers Licence
Consent to a Police Vetting Check under the Vulnerable Children's Act 2014
