Job Description
At the core of Te Kura Tuarua o Taraika ki Pukeahu (WHS) is Whānau, Excellence, Respect and Ora. Ideal applicants will be committed to continuing the prioritisation of Mātauranga Māori and joining our kura on its journey to being bicultural. We are a coeducational non-uniform school located on Pukeahu. We have a growing relationship with Te Atiawa which supports our kura’s access to the wider community of Te Whanganui-a-Tara, and its potential local curriculum.
For April 2026 we seek to appoint an experienced Special Education teacher to join our He Kākano team for students with ongoing resourcing. He Kākano offers specialised opportunities that ensure safe mainstreaming. The successful applicant will be an experienced practitioner who is passionate about inclusive education. They will be able to support our students, contributing to the development of our inclusive and supportive environment. This person will be knowledgeable about learning support systems and ongoing resourcing and will have experience of working with students with different levels of learning support needs in the classroom.

Ko te tangata nei he tangata mōhio ki ngā momo o ngā ara awhina me ngā rauemi me he pukenga ki te mahi i te taha o ngā tauira rerekē katoa o rātou hiahia ako i te akomanga.
