Early Childhood Educator & Class 4 Driver

MAJOR ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:
Providing a safe, caring, and enriching environment for the children enrolled at Juvenescence.
Create a positive parent experience using effective communication.
Supervise children interactions to ensure they are positive, healthy, safe and that all children are treated with respect and dignity.
Collaborate with co-workers and Director to create engaging and relevant monthly programming that fit the needs of the centre’s children.
Advocate for Juvenescence within the community, schools, and other working relationships to create a positive and professional company image.
Establish routes, schedules, and procedures with the Centre Director and Program Operator to maximize safety of children.
Adhere to the established schedule to the best of their ability.
Working knowledge of the Alberta Traffic Safety Act, Early Learning and Child Care Regulation, and all municipal traffic legislation.
Complete a daily inspection of the vehicle and report all van maintenance issues to the Program Operator.
Ensure there is an adequate amount fuel to complete trip.
Keep the vehicle litter free and cleaned up after each use.
Always ensure the safety of the children by following all vehicle safety protocols.
Meet and maintain all Alberta licensing requirements/qualifications.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/ ACTIVITIES

The Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting children in the care of Juvenescence between program locations, and on field trips. They must conduct themselves in a professional manner setting an example for children, parents, and co-workers by reflecting the company vision, mission, and core values. They are to comply with Provincial and Federal legislation and company policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current E.C.E Certification (Level 1, 2 or 3)
Class 4 license with a clear drivers abstract.
Must be able to lift 20lbs and participate in full body activities.
Current First Aid or willing to update
Police Clearance with a Vulnerable Sector Search.
Due to the nature of our program, all successful applicants must be fully vaccinated against covid-19 prior to their start date at Juvenescence.
