Role Description/Criteria

Short Term Contract, Term 2, Home Group Teacher, Years 1/2.

Teaching at Good Samaritan requires that you have the capacity to:

actively support and promote our Catholic school vision;

design teaching and learning experiences that are purposeful, engaging and meaningful for every child in your care;
communicate effectively with children, colleagues, parents/carers and community members;
engage with colleagues in a cycle of continuous inquiry and learning about effective teaching practice.
participate in the broader life of the school including, when appropriate, the sacramental program, camps and community events; and
behave professionally and ethically in all forums.
To be considered for these positions you must:

have an understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and be committed to its mission;
be committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care:
have appropriate registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching; and
either have, be undertaking, or intend to undertake accreditation to teach Religious Education.
