Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technologist & Phlebotomist
Location: Ambattur
Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary
We require a Medical Laboratory Technologist & Phlebotomist responsible for patient sample collection, laboratory testing, quality control, and compliance with NABL standards. The role demands accuracy, adherence to SOPs, and strict patient safety practices.
Key Responsibilities
Perform venous and capillary blood collection following approved SOPs
Ensure correct patient identification, labeling, and traceability of samples
Process samples for hematology, biochemistry, serology, and routine diagnostics
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment as per manufacturer and SOP guidelines
Perform internal quality control (IQC) and document results
Identify and immediately report critical values
Maintain records, registers, LIS entries, and documentation required for NABL audits
Follow laboratory safety, infection control, and biomedical waste management rules
Comply with NABL, ISO 15189, and internal quality policies
Required Qualification
DMLT / BMLT or equivalent recognized qualification
Trained in phlebotomy techniques
Registration with relevant authority (if applicable)
Required Skills
Proven phlebotomy competency
Knowledge of pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical processes
Understanding of NABL documentation and quality requirements
Attention to detail and error-free reporting
Basic computer and LIS knowledge
Compliance & Quality Statement
The candidate must strictly adhere to SOPs, quality manuals, safety guidelines, and NABL requirements. Any deviation from approved procedures is unacceptable.
