Job Description
Are you ready to do what you love? Join our HR team as the HR Manager on a maternity cover contract until the end of 2026.
With an ever-expanding portfolio of restaurants, bars and real estate, Artemus Group are specialists at revitalising iconic waterfront precincts and transforming them into thriving community and cultural hubs. We champion local quality and a pioneering spirit and are proud to be building a legacy for future generations to enjoy.
As the HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a positive, high-performing workplace. Reporting to the HR Director, you’ll continue the delivery of effective, compliant, and people-centred HR operations across the organisation. You will partner closely with leaders to enhance workforce performance and culture.
This role is ideal for a hands-on HR professional who can balance strategic thinking with operational excellence, ensuring HR policies, systems, and practices support both our people and business objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead day-to-day HR operations
Champion engagement, wellbeing, inclusion, and culture initiatives
Support performance management, capability development, and succession planning
Drive training and development programs
Lead and work collaboratively with the HR Advisor to deliver effective business support
Manage complex employee relations cases, investigations, and disciplinary processes
Contribute to HR strategy execution alongside the HR Director
Maintain HR policies and frameworks aligned to legislation and best practice
Ensure compliance with employment law, awards, and agreements
Oversee HR systems, records, and data integrity
Provide HR reporting and insights to inform decision-making
What we are looking for:
Proven experience in a senior HR generalist role
Demonstrated people leadership experience
Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations, and HR best practice
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Ability to operate both strategically and operationally in a fast-paced environment
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline (desirable)
Why you'll love working with us:
50% team discount precinct wide
Wellbeing discounts and initiatives including yoga, run club and access to independent confidential counselling services
Team recognition rewards
A collaborative and inclusive work culture, where your contributions truly matter.
The chance to play a critical role in the exciting growth phase of Artemus Group.
