Human Resources Business Partner – North-West and Ipswich (full-time)

Ramsay Health Care is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to support two of our major hospitals within the Queensland network - St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital and North West Private Hospital (Everton Park).

This opportunity will suit a commercially minded HR professional who enjoys working close to the business, influencing leaders, and shaping workforce outcomes in a complex healthcare environment.

The Opportunity

As a trusted partner to hospital executives and leaders, you will play a hands-on role across employee and industrial relations, organisational development, workforce planning and cultural initiatives. Operating across two busy hospital sites, you’ll balance strategic input with practical delivery, supporting leaders through change, complexity and growth.

You’ll be part of Ramsay’s broader Queensland People Services team, working collaboratively while maintaining strong local ownership of your portfolio.

This role is well suited to someone who enjoys breadth, autonomy, and real impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

Partner closely with hospital leadership to provide pragmatic, timely advice on employee relations, performance management and complex case matters - please note: you will be required on-site at both the Noth West and Ipswich hospitals a few days per week/in accordance with business requirements
Lead and contribute to local, state and national HR initiatives, translating strategy into on-the-ground outcomes
Support leaders through complex and sensitive ER matters, ensuring procedural fairness and sound risk management
Support organisational development and culture initiatives that improve engagement and capability
Contribute to workforce planning, retention and talent initiatives across your portfolio
Provide industrial relations support, including interpretation of legislation, awards and enterprise agreements

What You’ll Bring

You are a collaborative, values-driven HR professional who enjoys being part of a high-performing team and contributing to shared outcomes. You bring sound judgement, discretion and a calm, considered approach to complex people matters, and you take pride in delivering HR that is both commercially practical and people-centred. You’re someone who champions best practice while remaining open and adaptable to new ways of working – particularly as new technologies and processes are introduced. Comfortable with change, you’re tech-savvy, curious and able to see the broader benefits of evolving systems, supporting leaders and teams to adopt improved practices with confidence.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in an HR or Industrial Relations role
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related discipline
Strong capability in ER/IR, complex case management and change or culture initiatives
A relationship-driven approach, with the confidence to influence and challenge constructively
