Job Description

Are you passionate about cycling technology and ready to represent one of the world’s leading eBike systems brands?

Bosch eBike Systems is seeking a Regional Technical Associate based out of Christchurch to become the technical face of Bosch across New Zealand — supporting manufacturers, importers, retailers and the local service partner while driving technical excellence and brand engagement in market.

This is a highly autonomous, hybrid full-time, permanent field-based role combining technical expertise, stakeholder engagement, training delivery and market insight, ideal for someone deeply connected to the bicycle industry who thrives in a dynamic and customer-focused environment. There will be regular domestic and biannual international travel’

About the Role

You will play a critical role in strengthening Bosch’s market leadership through dealer education, technical support, and continuous feedback into regional and global teams — reflecting the broader Bosch eBike technical specialist model focused on dealer training, service development and market intelligence gathering.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Training

Plan, coordinate and deliver comprehensive dealer training programs across New Zealand
Lead local technical support initiatives including “train-the-trainer” programs for manufacturers and partners
Provide Tier 2 technical expertise supporting service partners, warranty processes and spare parts management
Act as Bosch eBike brand ambassador at dealer events, training sessions and industry engagements
Stakeholder & Market Engagement

Serve as the primary technical contact for eBike importers, retailers and external partners
Support internal teams with promotional and marketing activities
Maintain strong relationships across multiple stakeholder levels within the cycling ecosystem
Conduct regular store visits and maintain accurate reporting within Salesforce
Market Intelligence & Business Support

Gather and report market insights including:

Customer and manufacturer requirements
Competitor activity and innovations
Consumer trends and demand analysis
New Zealand regulatory developments
Deliver monthly market insights contributing to Asia Pacific Business Reviews
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

Collaborate with service partners to uphold Bosch customer service standards
Achieve targeted dealer training attendance and consistently high participant feedback outcomes
Execute regional initiatives defined by the eBike Business Unit

Qualifications

We are looking for a conscientious professional with the ability to work across multiple business units, manage diverse topics and priorities, establish effective relationships across all levels of the organisation.

To be considered for this position you would meet the following:

Essential

Significant bicycle industry experience (mandatory)
Strong mechanical and technical knowledge of eBikes
Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across OEMs, retailers and partners
Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a home-office environment
Confident presenter capable of representing Bosch nationwide
Strong communication skills and cultural awareness
Current Driver’s Licence
Desirable

Understanding of OEM eBike distribution channels
Experience delivering technical or product training
Microsoft Office proficiency
SAP and Salesforce experience
Excellent time management and organisational capability
