Director, Major Projects & Growth (Renewables & Storage)

The Mission: At Into Climate we connect the architects of the energy transition with the companies actually building it. We are currently partnering with a leading energy infrastructure developer in Western Canada to find a Director of Major Projects capable of taking large-scale assets from concept to FID and operation.

The Opportunity: You will be stepping into a high-velocity environment managing a multi-technology portfolio (Wind, Solar, Hydro, and BESS). The mandate is clear: bring rigor to the chaotic world of renewable development and ensure capital efficiency across a $1B+ project pipeline.

What You Will Fix:

The FID Bottleneck: You will scrutinize project economics and technical feasibility to ensure only viable assets move forward.
The Execution Gap: You will bridge the divide between development teams and construction execution, preventing value leakage during the EPC phase.
The Commercial Risk: You will lead high-stakes negotiations with major vendors, utilities, and regulatory bodies to de-risk the portfolio.
Who You Are: An experienced commercial operator who speaks the language of engineering.

Experience: 15+ years in major capital projects (Energy, Infrastructure, or Industrial).
Track Record: You can point to specific examples where your intervention saved millions or rescued a stalled project.
Tech Stack: Deep familiarity with at least two of the following: Wind, Solar, Battery Storage (BESS), or Hydro.
Mindset: You thrive in "Order from Chaos" environments and prefer action over bureaucracy.
