The Opportunity
As a Graduate/Junior Accountant, you will support the Project Finance team with daily, monthly and ongoing accounting activities. The role is office based, fast-paced, detail-focused, highly collaborative and based in Port Melbourne.
Your key role responsibilities would be:
Assisting with month-end journals, accruals and reconciliations
Preparing and managing accounts payable/receivable entries
Supporting project cost reporting and financial analysis
Assisting with GL maintenance, data integrity and process improvements
Performing bank, balance sheet and ledger reconciliations
Assisting with statutory reporting and audit preparation
Providing general support to the Financial Controller and wider Finance team
Reconciling supplier statements and ensuring timely payment cycles
Supporting month-end processes including AP accruals and cost reporting
Collaborating with Project Administrators, Site teams and Finance to streamline AP workflows
Here’s what we are looking for…
Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance. (working towards CPA/CA)
Strong attention to detail and eager to learn
Confident with Excel and financial systems
A proactive communicator with a problem-solving and can-do mindset
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines
Bonus: Experience with construction, Jobpac, Docketbook or ERP systems would be an advantage but not essential
