Small Business Banking is part of CBA Business Banking and provides in-branch, face-to-face and remote support to Small Businesses across Australia. We are looking for a Business Banker to join our Brookvale branch in Warringah Mall.

Be part of a high-performing branch and contribute to its success by providing exceptional service to Small Business customers. You will do this by understanding their business and personal needs and assisting with the end-to-end fulfilment of those needs.

As a Business Banker, you will be accountable for business development within your local business community and will support the retention of client relationships by delivering a premium service experience.

More specifically, you will:
Facilitate meaningful customer conversations to understand their goals and needs, providing relevant and timely solutions. This includes originating a range of solutions such as commercial lending up to $1.25M, asset finance, merchant facilities and everyday banking solutions.

Proactively engage customers to support their business and personal goals. Prepare thoroughly for customer conversations to provide valuable insights. You will also understand the home ownership solutions available to business customers.

Act as a brand ambassador within the local business community, building awareness of the CBA Business Banking proposition. This may involve hosting small business education events that support the ongoing financial wellbeing of businesses.

Regularly attend key stakeholder meetings to build awareness of the Small Business service offering, strengthen referral partnerships and proactively address service pain points.

We want to hear from you if you have:
Experience in commercial lending or B2B sales

Home lending experience

Sound financial analysis skills and strong commercial acumen

Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement/management skills

Strong customer engagement capability (both face-to-face and remote)

Experience facilitating customer needs-based conversations, managing a pipeline of opportunities to meet customer expectations and maintaining proactive customer contact

A passion for Small Business customers, or experience in running or managing a Small Business

FSRA Tier 2 Accreditation

Credit Approval Authority (CAA) Level 2 (or willingness to obtain within 6 months
