This role is responsible for leading the day to day activities of the Recruitment team and ensuring a high-quality, timely and professional end-to-end recruitment service across the Department. This includes working with key stakeholders in the planning, development and delivery of responsive, contemporary and tailored attraction, assessment, selection and appointment processes and strategies to support business needs.
This is a permanent full-time position, although part-time applications will also be considered. This process may be used to fill future similar permanent or fixed-term positions that may arise within the Department and across the WA public sector in the next 12 months from the initial date of appointment.
Our Perth office is located in the Perth CBD in a convenient location, above the Perth Underground rail; close to the Wellington Street Bus Station and City CAT services.
We are looking for people who are proactive, people-focussed, able to deliver results and who can provide expert advice on all attraction, recruitment, selection and appointment issues. You will also be able to analyse and review current systems and processes for continuous improvement and to enhance the recruitment experience and build employer branding.
To be successful for this position, you need to demonstrate:
Demonstrated experience in the delivery of a streamlined Recruitment service including providing an innovative, timely and customer centric approach.
Ability to lead, develop and motivate staff, including engaging and leading a team through continuous change.
Demonstrated high level communication skills with the ability to build and manage effective relationships with hiring managers and senior management and effectively influence and achieve organisational outcomes.
Knowledge of public sector recruitment practices and procedures and understanding of contemporary recruitment methods and tools to support the attraction of high quality candidates and build effective talent pipelines.
Core leadership behaviours outlined in Leadership Expectations are applicable to this role and should be demonstrated in the context of Leading Others.
