You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $330,497 (L14) comprising salary rates between $89.87 (L13) and $92.68 p.h. (L14), motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., regional attraction allowance, Locality allowance, inaccessibility incentive, professional indemnity cover and private practice arrangements. Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value.

As a Senior Medical Officer- Psychiatry, you'll support high-quality mental health care that strengthens patients, families, and the wider community. You'll work closely with a committed team to guide safe practice, promote recovery, and shape coordinated services across the region.

Here's what will help you thrive in the role
Medical registration (or eligibility) and recognised medical degree
Significant experience in psychiatry
Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership across multidisciplinary settings
Commitment to continual learning and high-quality clinical practice
You'll stand out with rural/regional experience and/or postgraduate mental health training. Above all, you'll embody compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage, values that shape exceptional care across Darling Downs Health.
