Job Description
Join our Roads & Traffic Team, dedicated to keeping our community safe, accessible, and well-regulated. We are committed to providing effective enforcement and regulation services while maintaining strong connections with the community.
The Role:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Authorised Officer to conduct foot patrols and enforce parking and traffic regulations in our local government area. You will:
Patrol streets and designated car parks to ensure compliance with parking and traffic legislation
Investigate abandoned vehicles, littering, vehicle “for sale” complaints, boat trailer issues and other related offences
Issue penalty notices or warnings as appropriate and maintain accurate records
Collaborate with local police, community groups and other stakeholders
Represent Council in court and prepare reports as required
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will have:
A NSW Driver’s License
Strong customer service skills and experience
Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
The ability to follow procedures, apply legislation, and work independently
(Desirable) Completion of a parking enforcement course or experience in issuing penalty notices
(Desirable) Knowledge of the Local Government Area

Package: $69,785-$73,858 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation. (Plus weekend penalty rates as worked).
Hours of work: Permanent Full Time. Working 38 hours per week, 9 day fortnight. Applicants must be available to work a range of shifts across a 7 day spread.
