Full job description
Report directly to the President and CEO, CanAm Currency Exchange is looking for a Director of Operations to oversee daily operations, drive customer growth and retention, ensure compliance, and lead our team. This role also includes launching and scaling a second branch, managing financials, and maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure transaction accuracy, efficiency, and security.
Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and compliance standards (AML, KYC, regulatory reporting).
Drive customer growth initiatives and strategies to retain key clients.
Manage budgets, monitor P&L, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Directly manage back-office staff and front-end supervisor, set performance metrics, and mentor team members.
Lead the planning, setup, and launch of a second branch.
Maintain security protocols, prevent fraud, and oversee risk management.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related field (MBA preferred).
8–10+ years in operations management, ideally in financial services or regulated industries.
Experience with high-volume transactions, compliance, and branch expansion.
Strong leadership, analytical, and process-oriented skills.
Proficiency with ERP, CRM, compliance tools, and operational dashboards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $100,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
