About the role:

An exciting opportunity to join our team as a Store Designer on a 12-month contract.

In this role you will design the site and planning phase of Bunnings stores and maintain the design consistency to ensure that the necessary operational, merchandise, statutory and other requirements are incorporated into, and met by, the design in the most economical and functional manner.

What's involved:

Coordinate the planning, design and documentation phases for Capital Works

Prepare concept site plans, internal layouts and scope of works for use in the preparation of financial proposals

Liaise with the appropriate internal and external stakeholders to ensure that design solutions meet the requirements for sign off

Prepare Town Planning applications

Support delivery of all design documentation relating to the Major Capital Works program

Review Consultants drawings for suitability, accuracy and compliance

Ensure that all policies, procedures and processes within the Store Design function are fully compliant with the Trade Practices Laws

Who we’re looking for:

You will have experience in collaborating with key stakeholders and assist in the design and development of new store concepts, renovations, and expansions.

You will thrive working in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a dynamic and high performing team.

You’ll need:

Demonstrated experience as a draftsperson / Architectural Designer or similar position in the retail or commercial industry

Qualification in either Architecture, Building Design, Interior Architecture or Drafting

Experience in design and drafting in ArchiCAD or associated software

Strong design and documentation skills with attention to detail

The ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
