Inside Sales Representative

It’s an exciting time to be part of Alberta Direct Metal. We’re growing—and looking to add a motivated, customer-focused Inside Sales professional to our team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, communicates with confidence, and brings a strong work ethic every day. While experience is an asset, we’re open to training the right individual—someone who is eager to learn, driven to succeed, and ready to earn.

This is a hands-on role. You’ll be interacting with customers at the front counter while also stepping in to support the shop when needed.

What We’re Looking For:

Strong communication and people skills—you’re comfortable talking with customers and building rapport
Confident, positive, and professional in a fast-paced environment
Motivated, dependable, and willing to learn
Good computer skills (spreadsheets, quoting, basic systems)
Organized and able to manage multiple tasks at once
Comfortable with physical work when needed (lifting, loading, moving materials)
Inside sales or construction/metal industry experience is an asset, but not required
What You’ll Be Responsible For:

Handling phone, email, and walk-in customer inquiries
Preparing and following up on quotes
Processing payments and managing customer orders
Prioritizing work to keep jobs moving efficiently
Communicating clearly with the shop and management team
Assisting with loading customers, operating a forklift (training provided if needed), and supporting the shop during busy periods
