Job Description

Essential Functions of the Job:

Ensures a high level of prompt, efficient and friendly customer service.

Operation of customer service counter and cash register.

Receiving stock, pricing, coding, Vista Receiving book, claims, sales, transfers and cutoff reports.

Responsible for mail delivery and pickup.

Completes daily cash reconciliation.

Responsible for ensuring that adequate credit is available when transacting FCC transactions.

To operate point of sale terminal, and customer service counter and prepare daily cash reconciliations.

Perform inventory counts of all items sold in the retail store

To assist and take responsibility for the observance of adequate safety measures to correct hazardous conditions promptly.

Maintain proper housekeeping on display shelves to include product facing.

Responsible for store merchandising and displays.

Unpack and check freight for the store upon arrival in an organized manner.

Complete weekly order to FCL as per replenishing reports.

Provide bi-weekly sales order to the purchasing and inventory controller to ensure adequate inventory in the store. After approval from purchasing and inventory controller create and send FCL orders electronically.

Take orders for non FCL related products and services we provide (tags, branding irons, clippers) and keep good record of these items.

Some heavy lifting required – up to 50 lbs., requesting support as needed.

Assist with other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Telephone Etiquette

Ability to problem solve

Experience operating computer based applications including Microsoft Word, Excel

Ability to work in a team environment

Strong attention to detail

To be able to work effectively with other staff, supervisors and customers

Must hold a valid class 5 driver’s license

Education and Experience:

Two (2) years of agri-products and inventory management experience would be considered an asset

Grade 12 or recognized educational equivalent

Certificate in Agriculture, Agri-Business Certificate or recognized equivalent would be an asset
