Snax 4 Schools is a Canadian student nutrition partner dedicated to supporting school-based Student Nutrition Programs (SNPs) by providing healthy, affordable, and compliant snack solutions to schools and community organizations across Ontario. The company works closely with schools, public health units, food suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure snack programs meet PPM 150 and Student Nutrition Program guidelines, while remaining accessible, inclusive, and operationally efficient. Snax 4 Schools is seeking a Business Development & Operations Coordinator / Lead to support the growth, expansion, and operational effectiveness of its school nutrition programs. This role is a hands-on, cross-functional position that combines business development, partnership support, operational coordination, and program development. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external partners to strengthen existing relationships, identify new opportunities, and support the delivery of compliant, high-quality nutrition solutions to schools.
Business Development & Partnerships (Approx. 50%)
Identify, research, and pursue new business and partnership opportunities with schools, boards, community organizations, and funding partners
Develop and implement strategies to strengthen existing partnerships and expand into new markets
Support the preparation and delivery of presentations, proposals, and submissions for new contracts and partnership initiatives
Supervise and support business development activities to meet outreach and growth objectives
Support customized snack program solutions tailored to school size, demographics, and funding models
Oversee pilot initiatives and seasonal campaigns to increase program participation and visibility
Planning, Analysis & Reporting (Approx. 20%)
Contribute to annual growth targets, budgets, and business planning activities
Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to program growth, retention, and client satisfaction
Monitor market trends, funding opportunities, and partnership outcomes
Prepare regular reports and insights for senior leadership to support decision-making
Operations & Cross-Functional Coordination (Approx. 10%)
Work closely with logistics, procurement, and operations teams to ensure efficient delivery and high service standards
Support cross-functional projects related to menu development, community engagement, and brand outreach
Assist with issue resolution related to service delivery and partner coordination
Product & Program Development (Approx. 20%)
Research new snack products aligned with Student Nutrition Program (SNP) and PPM 150 guidelines
Support product development initiatives, including identifying co-packers and manufacturers capable of large-scale production
Coordinate with public health units, food specialists, and logistics partners to support product approval for school nutrition programs
Assist in bringing new products from concept to pilot implementation within school programs
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a closely related field, with formal academic training in marketing, management, or commercial strategy
Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in business development, partnerships, or commercial operations within a project-based or contract-driven environment
Demonstrated experience sourcing and developing new business opportunities, including preparing and delivering presentations and proposals to organizational or institutional clients
Hands-on experience supporting market entry or growth initiatives, including coordination from initial outreach through project execution
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with operations, logistics, suppliers, and external vendors to support timely delivery of services or projects
Experience coordinating with multiple external stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, or oversight bodies, in environments requiring adherence to defined standards, guidelines, or client specifications
Ability to analyze market trends and contribute to basic performance tracking and reporting for senior leadership
Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard business productivity tools
Comfortable working in international or multicultural business environments
