Lead Carpenter

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to lead projects from start to finish. This role requires a hands-on approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members. As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards and project timelines.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage carpentry projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within specifications.
Perform various carpentry tasks including framing, drywall installation, roofing, and cabinet installation.
Utilize power tools effectively and safely to fabricate and assemble structures or fixtures.
Conduct measurements and calculations to ensure accurate installations and alignments.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians and plumbers, to coordinate work on-site.
Train and mentor junior carpenters in best practices and safety protocols.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety regulations.
Inspect completed work for quality assurance and compliance with building codes.
Skills

Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools commonly used in carpentry.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes related to roofing, drywall, electrical work, caulking, CNC operations, and cabinet installation.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks as required.
