Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Orthodontic Laboratory Technician to join our team and fill a maternity leave position. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting laboratory operations for two Orthodontic Clinic locations. This position is perfect for individuals with a background in orthodontic or dental laboratory work, who are eager to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment. Th ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthodontic lab procedures and protocols, and the fabrication of orthodontic appliances. They will also ideally have a working knowledge of digital planning and 3D printing

Duties

Manage and implement lab workflow, adhering to our clinic protocols
Maintain quality control and privacy of information protocols
Ensure proper infection control practices within the lab and clinic environments
Maintain laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure proper functioning, through / routine checks and maintenance
Collaborate and communicate with orthodontic teams to clarify accuracy of prescriptions, appliance requirements, and timely appliance fabrication & delivery
Utilize intra-oral imaging and CAD software to create accurate orthodontic appliance designs
Ensure on- time, high-quality production of orthodontic records and appliances (Harley & Essex retainers, hyrax expansion appliances, holding arches, etc)
compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment
stay updated on advancements in laboratory techniques and technologies
Requirements

Previous experience in an orthodontic lab setting is preferred, with a strong understanding of appliance designs and fabrication procedures
Familiarity with orthodontic office operations is a plus, enhancing collaboration with team members
Proficiency in CAD software for design-related tasks is advantageous
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$38.00 per hour
