Job Title: Part-Time Coding Instructor

General Responsibilities: As a Coding Instructor, you will work under the guidance of the Director of Educational Development to create an engaging and collaborative learning environment for students. You will facilitate coding sessions that cover a variety of programming languages, robotics, tools, and applications.

Major Duties:
• Regularly meet with the Director of Educational Development to align on instructional strategies.
• Design and facilitate interactive learning sessions that excite students about coding.
• Support students in developing their computer science and coding competencies.
• Maintain open lines of communication with the Director of Educational Development.
• Exemplify positive academic and social behaviors to serve as a role model.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the educational mission.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Experience working with diverse student backgrounds, academic profiles, and skill levels.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to foster a positive learning environment.
• Exhibit responsibility, empathy, discretion, and adaptability in various situations.
• Proficient in teaching coding languages such as Scratch, Blockly, Swift, and Python.
• Ability to guide students in controlling robotics (e.g., Ozobot, Sphero, drones) using coding.
• Skilled in collecting and analyzing data to tailor future teaching approaches.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities while working independently.
• Capable of teaching students of different skill levels in multiple coding programs based on interest and ability.
