The Opportunity

We are seeking more than just a tutor; we are looking for an academic mentor who can translate difficult scientific principles into "lightbulb moments." As a remote educator, you will support a diverse range of learners—from Grade 3 students exploring the foundations of the natural world to Grade 11 & 12 students navigating the rigors of the Ontario Chemistry curriculum and university-level preparation.

Your Impact

Targeted Mentorship: Lead engaging, 1-on-1 virtual sessions that simplify both fundamental science and advanced Chemistry.
Grade-Appropriate Instruction: Adapt complex concepts for younger learners (Grades 3-8) to build early scientific literacy, while providing technical depth for secondary students (Grades 9-12).
Curriculum Design: Develop bespoke lesson materials and resources tailored to individual student needs—moving beyond standard textbook instruction.
Progress Strategy: Actively monitor student growth, providing the feedback and encouragement necessary to build academic confidence and "meteoric" progress.
Ontario Standards: Maintain a deep alignment with current Ontario curriculum requirements (including Elementary Science and Secondary Chemistry) to ensure student success.
What We’re Looking For

Academic Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a highly related STEM field is required.
Versatile Experience: Proven history of teaching or tutoring science. Candidates must be comfortable working with students from Grade 3 through Grade 12.
Content Mastery: The ability to create original, high-quality curriculum materials and practice problems from scratch.
Communication Style: An empathetic, patient, and inspiring approach to teaching that adapts to various learning styles and ages.
Scheduling: Availability to support students during peak learning hours, including evenings and weekends.
