Queensland Parliamentary Catering Services is seeking an enthusiastic and professional Full Time Food and Beverage Attendant to join our team. You'll play a key role in the functions and events operations within the heritage-listed Parliament House precinct. From hosting high-profile events to providing outstanding service in our dining rooms, this role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your hospitality skills in a unique and rewarding environment.
This is a temporary opportunity until 23rd April 2027, with the possibility of extension.
Key Objectives
Deliver high-quality food and beverage service across dining and event settings.
Ensure smooth setup, service, and pack down of functions while maintaining excellent presentation.
Support efficient operations through accurate order processing and stock management.
Your Role
Set up and pack down events, functions, and dining rooms, including coordinating linen services.
Assist with food and beverage preparation and maintain clean, well-stocked service areas.
Welcome guests and deliver exceptional customer service across a variety of service styles (cocktail, banquet, buffet, bar).
Ensure responsible service of alcohol and process payments (cash, EFTPOS, account charges).
Collaborate with the greater catering team to ensure seamless service delivery and support the induction of new staff.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in large/multi space banqueting or events venues.
Ability to carry 3 plates and clear 5 plates confidently.
Bar experience.
Current Queensland RSA (mandatory); Food Handlers Certificate preferred.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to work under pressure.
